Do not be AFRAID

Everyday, we go through circumstances that make life hard for us. We are caught in life storms. When we forget about Jesus, we tend to fight on our own to cross over to that other side. However, this should not be the case because Jesus is always willing to come to our rescue. He will come to us despite the threshold of the storm.
In one particular moment, Jesus sent His disciples to cross over the other side of the lake while he went to the mountain to pray. As the disciple were crossing, a storm arose and they found it hard to cross over to the other side. They tried their best, but they could not manage for the wind was against them and the water was very rough. When they had managed about three miles of their journey, Jesus approached them walking on water and they were filled with fear, for they thought he was a ghost. But Jesus said to them, “It is I; don’t be afraid.” And they took Jesus on board, and immediately they managed to reach their destination. [John 6]

Sometimes, we also become afraid amidst life storms and we reject our only true friend, rescuer, and helper.
Jesus will always come to us. He understands that we are frail and weak. Our hearts should always be open to welcome him into our lives. Despite the severity of the storm, we can still bank all our hopes with him because he cares for us. Praise be to Jesus who delivers us from all our weaknesses.
